Two separate vids that dovetail nicely together, in my opinion.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMnSp4qEXNM&feature=related"]YouTube - Timeline shows Bush, McCain warning Dems of financial mess[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usvG-s_Ssb0"]YouTube - Explosive Video, Fannie Mae CEO calling Obama and the Dems the "Family" and "Conscience" of Fannie Mae[/ame]

Everyones to blame whos in power. No one did anything to avert this. But its hilarious the people who said we dont have a problem then, are the ones we are having figure out what to do next. Seems idiotic IMO

It was under Clintons watch that lending standards were loosened so everyone could enjoy the American dream turned nightmare. The standards were there for a reason. Forcing Freddie and Fannie to make bad loans was idiotic......now they want all of us to pay?:nonono:

Can't blame any one party. Both can accept part of the responsibility. Politics haven't changed, witnessed by the fiasco yesterday with neither party being able to make a decision on the bail out package. More and more people are getting fed up with Washington politics. And politics in general.

Interesting how nobody on either side is stressing the vital need for re-educating Americans on shifting away from their lust for putting everything on credit and too often paying just the minimum monthly payment. Too many people are living well beyond their means. And THAT is an issue that absolutely must be addressed or we'll quickly be thick in sh-- again. JMO.

Excellent responses guys...

This is not a blame one or the other scenario. More than enough blame to go around...to Repubs, to Dems, to banks, to investment firms, to the american public that continues to be drunk on credit and living beyond their means.

This is a RESCUE package...not a bailout of Wall St. as the media keeps saying. If something is not done to free up capital for corporate America, then our economy will freeze up beyond just financial institutions and we will be in another GREAT DEPRESSION. This is about fixing the problem right now....blame can come later. Politics have to be removed from this process which is proving tough to do for some....

America as a whole created this mess....we all had a hand in it to some degree. Man up time....take the pain and fix it.
