is that on pump gas? how is the tune, aggressive? any weight reduction at all other than spare and jack?

As for turbo cars.. HPP went 10.0s in a full weight, 6spd, stock longblock, IRS, no n20 Cobra with 17 inch DRs.

I was talking to one guy here in NJ who ran a mid to high 9 in his with a Whipple, but he was using race fuel, so I don't know if that counts or not.
Sorry, I was assuming you were refering to Eaton powered.
Although that pasted list is now really out of date, Tommy still has the top twin screw/6speed/IRS. Unfortunately, he sold the car two weeks ago.

I've talked to him on line a couple of times on Carolina Rides. He's also run 10.40's on nitrous. Justin's a pretty serious racer. Minimal to no weight reduction, tuned by Pro Dyno. I'm sure he's on a very aggressive tune with some type of octane help. Running a stage IV w/ 2.93/4 lb combo.
Yeah, I remember when he broke into the 10's. The 2.3 was just out and he was the trailblazer. Now, these Gen II's are throwing 630 RWHP numbers out there with modest boost levels. Come a long way in 4 years.
Hell I need to get to the 1/4 mile and get some times up there. How about a 7.01 with a 1.57 60' on stock clutch in the 1/8th mile? I thought there were a lot more people than this? I'll be getting some 1/4 times hopefully within the next month.
thought so. I have no doubt he is a serious racer but i kinda thought those guys who are running unique times at least have a pretty agressive tune and race gas.
my dream is to run quickest time with a pullied full weight cobra which is what? 10.99 is enough? i am hoping to buy another cobra and run 10s pullied only. no ported or twinscrew or even lower. we will see..:rolling:
Brian, that list is totally out of date. Tommy stopped maintaining it after he hit his 9.94. Heck, just in the MACA alone, we have 16 folks who've hit 10's with a twin screw and another 3 who've hit 9's!!! Lot of folks runing 10's with twin screws....and Eaton's too for that matter.

Well Musclefan, you've got your work cut out for you. It's never been done before. F8LBITE and 94-98 Trans Am have both hit 10's with upper/lower combos with full weight Terminators, but no upper pullied only 03/04's. Corey's run:

Here's MACA's upper pullied Terminators and Jason (04Yellowcobra) just hit his 11.10 this afternoon. His previous best up till today was a 11.34. He has a solid rear and a significant amount of weight reduction. The standard of 6speed/IRS/full weight Terminators has got to be Tommy Goddrey (F8LBITE), who's one of the absolute best drivers out there and hit a 11.30 before he went twin screw.

i had regular 93 octane in the car, A/F was 10.6 to 11.0, stock fronts, completely full weight.I am pretty sure with the same mods (upper only), SRA, skinnies, cooler air 45* ish agressive tune would get an upper only cobra into 10s without problem.
I am hoping to buy a cobra in the future hopefully soon and achieve this! Hell maybe with IRS...... and i definetely wanna do it without lower. Just your regular pullied cobra.

Yeah, he ran a 10.56 @ 133.82 last November with a 600+ RWHP Whipple setup. That's a little different than a 450 RWHP upper pullied Eaton setup. ;-)
Yeah, you've done a great job! Five guys have hit 10's with an unported Eaton and only Almo did it with an upper pulley only, all the rest had lowers. Here's Almo's record setting pass:oh wow!
