Good day. Is anyone running these injectors? Did you have any issues?

We installed them in a customers car and can't get it to run on the new tune with the new injector data. Tuner thinks it is an installation error. I have double checked everything I disturbed during installation and I can see no issues. Not saying I don't make mistakes but everything seems good.

Odd thing is it will run on the older tune file when it just had an upper pulley installed. Now with the new file it just cranks but does not start. Put old file back in and it will run.

Thanks for any help.

My son is running them on his 2JZ. No problems. They tuned as well as my ID's.

If it starts on one tune, but not the other....it's the tune.

You need to datalog whichever tune has the correct data for the injectors and MAF you're running. If the old tune isn't set up for the FIC's he needs to figure out what's missing in the new tune so you can go off of that.

I understand that. However if the car won’t run what can be done? I was given a revision but it still won’t run on that - it was named the same as the 1st file so I’m not sure if there were changes or not.

He is positive the injector data is correct.

I’m as sure as I can be the installation was correct.

Hopefully the data log with the original tune can show what is wrong.

Maybe the MAF got disturbed when I took off the boot connecting it to the throttle body.

Maybe something changed not related to the tune or the installation.

Who knows. If it runs and we can collect data to me it seems the best way to figure it out.

If it was a mechanical issue it wouldn't run on either tune. So I'm sure your installation is fine.

Something is amiss in the tune. Just for fun try unplugging the MAF and see if the car will run on the new tune.

Not surprising at all. FIC injector data is usually wrong. I've been fortunate that I hadn't had but a handful of guys come to me with FIC injectors over the years. Usually they fluctuate too much once the injector goes static so you can't dial them in properly.

I don't use the 775's as they are a useless size injector but I do have a few guys that have recently gotten the 1000s since the siemens deka 80s are unobtanium.

Still too early to have a new opinion on them but ask me in a couple months.

You have seen the data so far off the engine won’t run at all?

We have used 2 sets of FICs with no issue before however it was on LS platforms.

Hopefully we can get it figured out. I won’t hear from the tuner until tomorrow sometime.

It’s done! He said he used his own injector data, the online FIC data was wrong.

Frustrating for both sides but it runs well and the customer has his car back.

Yeah i've seen their published data wayy far out to lunch.

A factory bone stock vehicle with only an injector swap and with their data is was inoperable wouldn't even start.
