I think the block is pretty much junk. It won't work on the street and as badcobra has said the blocks don't need to be filled so it will have very little value to most.

I have a stock bore 99 cobra teksid block if you are interested. Needs a bore cleanup, but otherwise good block. Located in Raleigh, NC.

The land of commies and socialists!
Over 25psi you are at risk for cracking a sleeve. No sense building a fresh engine and not using the right parts for a high hp build.

Really? Cobra blocks as you put them don't have sleeves. They are iron and have no liners.

Depends on who you ask. Some say dont take them past 500, others claim 6, 7, 800. Some have lived at the high and and some have died at the low end.

4.6l cast blocks are all the same around 1000-1500hp (depends if it was casted on a monday or friday) :) 4.6 wap block most say 500hp-600 but most get away with 1000hp. 4.6 teskid 2000hp.

Didn't you have a running car you just built??

if you go aluminum, make sure the shop know how to deal with it. Aluminum moves around a lot with temperature change.
