First time at the track

I did my first 1/4 mile runs this weekend at Fun Ford Weekend and it was frickin incredible. I was the ONLY SVT Contour there on Saturday and there was only one other guy on Sunday.

Three runs on Saturday, two today, and my et and mph improved on every run.

Runs were 16.0 (first run, very nervous), 15.6, 15.5, 15.4, and 15.29.

After the first run, I took out the spare and jack. I also had 3 overnight bags in the trunk, too.

I don't care if the SVT Contour isn't a drag car, it was a hell of a lot of fun.

Hey it was a fun weekend, I think I saw you run, and I am glad you had fun. Thats what it is all about, and the more runs you make the faster you will go.

That 15.29 is damn good if all you have is a KN. 00JSVT is probably the quickest stock SVT Tour at 15.1 with just Cold Air. What were your 60' times??? And Trap speed?

Yup, all I have is the K&N drop in. Only one other SVT Contour (a 98) ran over the weekend and he only got one run in on Sunday and it was his first ever run, so I don't think it would be fair for me to compare times with him. He ran a 15.717 @ 90.95. I think he only has a K&N, too.

Yeah, you probably did see me. I kind of stood out. I was the guy running 15s and holding everyone else up.

I will be up there again, for sure. I heard Friday nights are only $15 and I can get 5 or 6 runs in if I show up when the gates open.
