JLT Oil Separator Kit Anodized Focus ST 2013-14 CJ Pony Parts
This is JLT's Passenger Side Oil Separator Kit for all 2013-2014 Focus STs. If you are finding oil in places that it shouldn't be chances are it is coming out during the process of venting the crankcase pressure back through your Focus ST's intake track. Large amounts of oil, from oil vapors, can collect and coat your intercooler fins, your blower rotors and possibly even lower your fuel's octane level by diluting it. All of these adverse conditions are multiplied in engines that are supercharged and turbocharged, like the turbocharged engine in the ST, due to significantly higher crankcase pressures. this JLT oil separator kit is a simple addition to provide a defense against this from happening.
This kit Includes the JLT Oil Separator, angled mounting bracket, all necessary hardware and inlet and outlet Hose
JLT has designed and developed a unique oil separator that is milled from solid billet aluminum and comes in your choice of either a black or clear anodized finish. The tank has a knurled base for an easy removal to drain when necessary. The tank reservoir holds 1.5 oz of fluid, which may not sound like a lot but you shouldn't ever see that much oil in your PCV system. JLT thought to add a metal mesh filter to the intake side where the vapors collect, which allows them to condense quickly into larger oil droplets and drain down into the tank. You can drain it every 2,000-2,500 miles, approximately at the time of every oil change you make on your 2013-2014 Focus ST and never have the fear of filling it. There is also an O ring in the separator to ensure that there are no leaks or spills.
