How long do you guys think is appropriate to wait before following up after sending company(s) a resume?

I usually give it 2-5 days depending on when I sent it in. But definitely agree the squeaky wheel gets greased, I always pester the hell out of HR or the hiring manager about an interview and when I can start.

Shows you REALLY want the job. Guess I'm more proactive, than reactive.
