Texas Mile - 3 Days, 1 Mile, No Speed limit
Twice a year event, March and October, Sunday is the last day this go around. Ford GT went 278mph last year but only 273 today so tomorrow is their last chance to set a new record. And yes, you can run your Jet Powered Funny Car

The Texas Mile folks have started a Spinoff race called the US Mile or Half Mile near Houston. That bump a couple hundred feet off the line at Texas Mile looks annoying. You can hear the higher powered cars losing traction at several places down the track.

Well, if you missed The Mile there were 35 vehicles that went 200+ and a GT500 that went 199.9mph.
Fastest was M2K Motorsports' Street Legal Ford GT running on alcohol @ 273.7mph.
2nd (Porche 911) and 3rd (Nissan GT-R) fastest were both Street Legal 6cyl on E85.
4th fastest @ 227.7mph was Brenda Carver on an NA 4cyl Suzuki Sport Bike running on plain ole gasoline.
Next race is in March 2015 and registration opens in January 2015.
