So there's been quite a bit of talk lately about gear swaps on these cars and I'm a firm believer that gear swaps are one of the first mods that should be done. With that in mind I recently I ordered the OE part number CR3Z-4209B 3.73 ring and pinion that is supposedly specific for 2013-2014 GT500s without the Torsen differential. There wasn't much of a description anywhere that I could find to delineate what exactly came in the install kit besides the ring and pinion. The items came in from Tasca today and I was quite curious as to what was inside the box. Lo and behold there was indeed a pinion bearing inside the kit, luckily I ordered the 6L2Z-4265-AB bearing as well as the two are different sizes, the correct bearing is a bit larger. The 6L2Z-4265-AB has Koyo ST4190 imprinted on it whereas the pinion bearing in the kit has Koyo STD4193 imprinted on it. I'm attaching the pics below so everyone can see exactly what comes in the kit so we can know for sure which is the better deal. At this point I'd imagine it's the FRPP gears and bearing separately being that I now have two bearings.

Does anyone know how much of this stuff comes with the FRPP kit?

The FRPP ring and pinions do not come with any bearings.

The M-4210-B2 comes with side bearings & races, pinion bearings & races, plus crush sleeve, pinion nut, seal, and shims.

Thanks for the response. Wow, this OE kit includes much of what comes in the install kit. It's got the ring gear bolts which I didn't post in the picture. It's only missing shims and marking compound plus I'll even get to sell off the included pinion bearing for $50.

Ford just changed that within the last few years. For whatever reason, the kits do not come with side bearings. Also, the OE catalog still lists the solid shims compared to the FRPP stackable shims.

So it looks like it will cost an additional $50 or so for the carrier bearings that are not included in this kit. I guess there's a chance the existing bearings can be re-used if they look good and are undamaged during disassembly but for less than $50 it's not worth not having new bearings. So in the end with the vendor I used it would have been slightly cheaper to order the FRPP Ring and Pinion, 13-14 pinion bearing, and install kit versus buying the OE part number, correct pinion bearing, and carrier bearings.
