Performance Upgrade Available for Ranger, Bronco Raptors; Raptor Rally Attendees Get Discount
DEARBORN, MI, August 29, 2024 – Ford engineers have delivered significant low-end torque and horsepower improvements to the 3.0-liter EcoBoost® engine in the Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor thanks to a new software calibration from Ford Performance Parts.
  • Ranger Raptor: Torque jumps from 430 to 536 lb.-ft., while horsepower increases from 405 to 455
  • Bronco Raptor: Torque increases from 440 to 536 lb.-ft. and horsepower climbs from 418 to 455
The upgrades are available for 2024 Ranger Raptor and 2023 and 2024 Bronco Raptors and allow for improved throttle response and an optimized shift schedule, resulting in a more powerful driving experience. The MSRP is listed at  $825 and can be purchased using Ford Pass Rewards points.

Anyone who registers their vehicle and attends Raptor Rally, an exclusive one-day event near the Ford Performance Racing School in Fairfield, Utah, on Sept. 21, will receive a 20% off coupon good for the calibration tool and other eligible accessories at performanceparts.ford.com. Terms and conditions apply.

Raptor Rally costs $500, which includes the vehicle, the owner, and one guest for a day of off-road drive experiences, trail rides, expert workshops, meet and greets with pro off-road racers, hot lap opportunities, Ford news, exclusive giveaways, meals, and more. Register at http://www.fordraptorrally.com .

The calibration can be purchased online (Bronco Raptor Calibration, Ranger Raptor Calibration) to be installed at a local dealer. These calibrations meet Ford durability standards and are covered by the vehicle’s three-year, 36,000-mile Ford Performance parts warranty.

Are you installing it yourself? I'm definitely getting it. Just don't know if I'm sidestepping the dealership or not.

Normally I would but I don't want to completely eviscerate the factory powertrain warranty. I have a local shop I use for my annual NYS inspection that has ASE certified mechanics, which will allow me to keep 3 years of the normal 5 year powertrain warranty. If I do it I go to zero years of coverage. I'd have had Nick's dealership do it if it was available when I picked up my Bronco but it wasn't out yet. Other than that, no way I'd take it to my local Ford dealership for this.

Smart move on using the shop with ASE certified mechanics. I wouldn't trust any Ford dealerships around here, either. I don't even totally trust my Genesis dealerships.

I'd love to get a tune (and exhaust) for my '23 G70 (bumps power to 425whp), but I would be stupid to risk losing Genesis' great warranty.

Can anyone help please, I’m from Canada. If I purchase the tune from the states and import to Canada does it affect anything with Ford? It’s much cheaper south of the border.

What do you mean by - "affect anything with Ford?" Like the warranty?

Following up. I got the Ford Performance programmer from Lethal Performance for $600 and some change. Prepped the tuner per instructions. All I had to do was find a local ASE certified mechanic to press the install button. Paid him $40 for his ASE number on the repair order stating all the tuner and vehicle pertinent info. Emailed the order to Ford Performance at [email protected] to satisfy the requirements of Ford Performance. Received a confirmation email back in less than a day.

Tuned at ~32xx miles. Raptoy has over 63xx miles and feels great. Sport Mode is noticeably got more get up an go. Shifting has improved to be honest. MPG's ~15.3 city and ~21 highway in Normal mode. Would do it again.

I have the same level of satisfaction with the FP tune on my Braptor. It is indeed a worthy upgrade.

I would love to make this beast bark 2nd on hard pulls. How do you do this with newer performance vehicles? Last time I did this, it was in the lightning 25 years ago. I did install a shift kit, it would scream 2nd and even 3rd on hard pulls.

Would a tune do this or bolt on?

A custom tune will do it. 2-3 is super aggressive in my BRaptor. You're not really making full boost in first gear. The turbos need more load from a higher gear to really get spooling.
