Good morning, new to the forums but not stangs. I recently bought a 2001 mustang Bullitt. The mod motors is kinda a new territory for me. The current setup is a 03 cobra short block (stock forged internals) stock PI 2V heads and cams with a 2.1 Kenne Bell blower. I have started cleaning and fixing some of the previous owners neglect (fluid wise).

My question is with this unique setup what would you all suggest running oil wise. Average temperatures here in Missouri now are high 80’s to high 90’s. The car will be driven daily and will get some weekend play time but not often.

The original owner said he was running 10-30 synthetic. I’m just on the fence since I know the 2v’s like a 5-20 for the tighter tolerances. What do you all think?

Motorcraft, Mobil 1, or Amsoil. Pick your poison. I've ran them all in my 04 at 5w-30 with no issues.

The 5w-20 was for CAFE standards. Fords way of trying to hit the MPG standard.
