I have a 2008 Bullitt that I have swapped the 4.6 3v and TR-3650 with a Gen1 Coyote engine and TR-6060. I am having difficulty figuring out which line to edit in the as built data to correct the speedometer.

I have the hexadecimal correction factor from a spreadsheet over on Mustang6g but as of this post no joy on a decoded table of the as built data - not even sure which data to research: the 2011 engine and PCM or the 2008 info. When I connect ForScan to the car, it only shows the PCM VID, the PCM as built data, and the PSCM as built data.

I corrected the info for the rear gear ratio and the tire size in the PCM VID block. That made a slight change - the speedo went from maxing out at 20mph at walking speed to responding like a speedo should, but at about a 1/3 reading (i.e. 75 mpg GPS shows ~ 25 on the speedo).

I know that the TR-6060 has a different pulse per mile count than the MT-82, which is why the VID block info didn't solve my problem.

As previously mentioned, I have the hexadecimal correction factor. I need assistance figuring out where in the as built data to put it.

UPDATE:

To clarify what ForScan shows me, my as built data shows two blocks: 7E0-01-[01-26] and 7E0-02-[01-18]. Each of these 44 lines show three groups of 4 alpha-numeric characters (hexadecimal info of some sort).

Example:
7E0-01-01 315A 5642 505C
7E0-01-02 3843 4658 4245

This continues for 24 more lines of as built data, then block 2 starts:

7E0-02-01 7EF3 80E4 7F3E

I need to include that the last two lines of data in each block only has two groups of four characters vice three AND they have a "Restore" button and a "Write" button in the data line that the others don't have.

7E0-01-26 23FF FF2F "RESTORE" "WRITE"

7E0-02-18 0200 0003 "RESTORE" "WRITE"

I have read in other places that the as built data contains at least two blocks that affect the speedo: the rear gear ratio and the tire size. One would think that the pulse count of the transmission VSS would be in there as well, but I have yet to find a reference.

It occurred to me that if I edited the VID data, I could check and see which, if any, of the as built data was changed. I chose to edit the tire size.

My original setting on the tire size was 285/35R19 (777 rpm) which is what I am actually running and the tire size option I changed it to was 245/45R19 (740 rpm). Two lines of data in block one were changed: 7E0-01-06 and 7E0-01-26.

-06 went from: [ FF03 090E ECF3] to [FF02 E40E ECCD]
-26 went from: [ 23FF FF2F ] to [ 48FF FF54]

My dilemma is what data field represents what? The only tangible difference in tire size is the RPM, so how does that affect 5 data fields?

Thanks! Pic for attn:
