what more important. The heads or intake ? Seriously. I have 2 sets of fr500c heads. 1 set nos with ford racing ss valves shelby springs nos titanium retainers ect or used complete w/ cams lifters followers off fr500c motor. Have fr500c valve covers to.also have carbon fiber covers.
I have all pieces to complete that intake except injectors but there easy.
As you see i have a fr500c and allot of spares.

Works on 5.4 and the 5.8 BUT you need spacers to fit deck height

I'm sort of a hoarder to be honest, so I'm not really trying to sell it. I'd consider letting it go, but I'd want like $2500 or so for it.
That makes two of us, so I completely understand. But I actually think $2,500 is fairly reasonable for that intake to the right person. I sold my FR500C intake back in 2012ish for $2,000 if I remember correctly, and I assume it would go for many multiples of that amount now. Your intake is right up there from a rarity standpoint if not more so, and it accomplishes the same goal (GT500 heads on a 4.6 block). If I still had my 03 Cobra and was thinking of a turbo setup, I would buy your intake in a heartbeat.

I figure one day I’ll use it for something. I’ve got a handful of nice parts for a big power build, but since I don’t have any tracks around me (anymore), I don’t turn my cobra up really.

Roush intake is a nice piece for sure most complete 1 I have seen. You do know will not fit 4.6 block, deck heights are different from 5.4 it was used on. And they were mounted reversed facing rear of motor. Not sure if they can be reversed or if they made 1 that faces to front of motor. JDM in NJ bought out all of roush's dp parts when he pulled the plug on that program.
Allot of those parts went to Germany and a ex sun trust dp car a friend maintains. Think it is 1st place car riley/Scott chassis. Was roush yates powered.

these were from roush dp program they tried a high rev motor build. 13.1 + comp ratio. 1 head I was told 1000 hrs work done to it.how true?? But from person who worked on them. They didn't last long at 10k rpm and 13+ compression.

Rough intake is very cool

Does it have a cobra/lightning dual bore throttle body opening or an oval single blade?

I got my intake from JDM 5-10 years ago or so. I believe you may be mistaken if you think the roush DP intake fits a 5.4 deck and not a 4.6. The intake can be mounted with the TB facing forward as well.

It's been awhile since I've looked at it, but I believe it's a dual bore TB inlet if memory serves.

I’ve got an fr500c installed in 99 cobra.

And I believe the stock trumpets were 3 and 4 inch. Matched to the cams and optimize a broad power band as dictated by class rules

Iirc…. The runner length without trumpets was approximately 11”, so fairly long with trumpets
