I never thought the day would come but I've decided that it's time to let my baby go. I've decided to give my SVT brothers and sisters the first opportunity at this awesome truck before resorting to eBay or Auto Trader etc... Most of you Lightning guys and gals know me from the Gen2 forum and have probably seen plenty of threads by me covering the evolution of this beast. And I've done plenty of detailed How-To's to document a lot of the modifications done over the last 5 years.
I am the original owner of this truck and it had less than 100 miles on it when I drove it off the lot in Phoenix, AZ. It still carries it's stock appeal on the exterior being that it has the same paint job and wheels on it as it did when it rolled off the factory floor. I've lowered it a little in the front and the rear and shortened the antenna. Other than the Topdeck Fiberglass Toneau Cover, that's about it on the exterior. As for the drivetrain and interior, most of you know what all has been done in those areas. If not, please refer to the mod list below and feel free to ask questions.
This truck has "built" everything. It has 61,495 miles on the clock. The Level-10 Stage III Torque Master Transmission only has 20,241 miles on it and was professionally installed by JJ at Woodbine Motorsports (WMS). It's runs perfectly and has never given me even the slightest issue. I even installed an auxiliary filter to ensure it stays clean and lasts longer. The short block was originally a JDM engine but was completely gone through and rebuilt by Johnny Durham of Durham Machine Works in Columbia, SC. It only has 7,485 miles on it since it was rebuilt. It contains Manley pistons, Manley H-Beam connecting rods, ARP rod bolts, forged steel crank, ARP Main Studs, and all the bearing and piston rings were replaced. It also got a fresh hone on all the cylinders and the entire block was clearanced and the main was line-honed. The cylinder heads were originally Patriot Performance Stage II's, but they were also completely rebuilt by Durham Machine. They contain Manley valves, Crower springs, ARP head studs, proper sized guides, seats, seals, locks, and Titanium Retainers. Durham Machine did a really awesome job on all the engine work and I couldn't have asked for a smoother running engine.
