I was at 450w with a 255 and a boost a pump and still had room. I’ve been out of the non-terminator/return fuel system game for a while. I thought there was a 340 pump available from aeromotive or something…with a boost a pump that would be plenty.

Walboro F90000285 will fit with modifications. Ran for a while in my car until other parts of the stock fuel system became a limitation on E85.

Edit: Sorry that was on my 96, missed you were working with the bastard 98 system.

I'm told this one supports 500 and it's a direct drop in for 99+. I don't know if that would work on a 98.

FWIW a single 255lph and 42lb injectors should be good to 550 rwhp I’m at 550 rwhp on a 255lph with boost a pump and 42lb injectors and I have my BAP all the way down

What rpm you spin yours up too mine is still sbe

7k my blower runs outta steam past that I should mention I’m spraying 15 percent of my fuel as methanol as well however that’s not the reason I run the methanol it’s more as my cooling/high octane buffer however I don’t need to turn up my BAP when spraying the methanol even on the dyno the most I turned up the BAP was half and had 10.9 AF with it off all the way it was around 11.2. Now without spraying any methanol my af is about 11.8-12 with BAP set to half and 12.3 off according to my wideband

Not to hijack the thread but are you guys modifying the stock baskets in anyway with the larger pumps? I've heard you need to cut holes in the bottom. or is that just a 99+ thing?

I see you have 60lb injectors that alone with a 255 is good for 600+ I have heard of some Ls guys 650 rwhp on that setup and 50-55 psi pressure

I think you are good to go with what you have for piece of mind you can throw in a new one with new filter etc

Best I have been is 11.26 @ 134 but was having lots of wheel spin in 1st gear (1.74 60ft) I think I have it down now as I got my anti squat angles correct. I run Hoosier radials 275/60-15 just got a new set of 295/55-15 over an inch wider should help out to make a sub 11 pass and be kicked out for no cage. Track elevation is 5300ft and I believe the density altitude was 7600ft at that time

Yeah you drill holes as to not starve the basket of fuel especially when running larger pumps or say a 255 with a BAP turned up all the way
