I think I've read just about every post on Mods to the 03, but I haven't seen any, or at least not very many post concerning Gear swaps. What would be the best? 4:10's, 4:30's. Anybody done this yet? Any difference in swapping the 03 vs earlier Cobras? Thanks for any help.

4.30's???:bash: :punch: I wouldnt even go 4.10's. I like the stock gears myself,,but I guess if they get too old I may try those new 3.90 gears. Sounds like a good compromise between the 3.73's and 4.10's

I have already done the math on this one guys: 315 Nitto DR's on stock 17x9 wheels, the 6500RPM redline, T-56's 4th gear ratio, and 3.90 gears = 127.35mph in 4th at the 6500rpm redline. PERFECT!!!!!! :burnout:
With 4.10's you would top out 4th gear at 121mph, we know that's too deep of a gear because you would have to switch to 5th, HAVEIGHT 13R has already gone 121.7mph with the stock 3.55 gears!!!:eek: So see, once you get the car to making some good power those speeds ARE going to be possible thru a 1/4. IMHO 3.90's should be just right! ;-)

When I was going that mph I was just being able to shift into fourth at the 1000ft mark if not a little beyond the car needs gears of some sort to put it more in the power band. All of our boost or big boost comes in fourth gear, and were not able to get into that gear it sucks!:thumbsup:

I have a complete rear assembly with factory installed 4.10s if anyone wants to swap. These were given to us by Ford when racing the Motorola Cup series and never were used. I have the entire brake to brake setup for a quick and easy install.
