Gen 3 vs gen 2 compression question.

I’m looking at ordering a gen 3 short block for a build and I was wondering if the increased compression on the gen 3 was from the pistons or the heads? The rest of the build is from my 12 gt. (Heads, covers, timing components etc.) I wasn’t sure if I’d see a bump in compression thank you
