Look at the S550 models.... The GT350R weighs 3700lbs... Now some of you guys think the GT500 will be under 4k lbs..... If it is it will be by just a few lbs, but I doubt it.

Yeah - the new ZL1 is junk.

http://www.motortrend.com/news/2018-chevrolet-camaro-zl1-1le-supercharged-z28-successor/

But I get it - the non-existent S550 GT500 is vastly superior to the ZL1 1LE.

I mean, even imaginary Fords are better than Chevys. Especially that slow, crappy ZO6 and now this piece of dung which I'm sure weighs over 5000 lbs and will blow its motor at the end of the driveway

No worries - I'm sure the GT350R will lap the Nurburgring 3 minutes faster than any pushrod junk from GM.

Thank God for Ford

It's a two month old thread. As much as your feelings may have been hurt, sometimes it's best to just let the thread die.

It is junk! Just like the last zl1 which could not last 3 laps or the z28 which could not beat the ring time of the 12 zl1.

What's worse is gm knows it's junk which is why they added one more digit and two letters. Really all that is r rated semi slicks and adjustable suspension to cheat I mean full the media again.

The good news is the public is not buying it. Just like they did not buy the z28.

Any news worth or able to be shared On D BIT?
Only old news. However with GM they play the same tricks year after year.

An example...an independent source(sport auto) runs ring times to verify manufacturer times if you will.
They ran the GT2RS 6 sec slower than the Porsche claim.
They ran the ZR1 18 sec slower than GM claim. Makes one wonder...

Not sure how true or not true this is. Was in the latest in CAR&DRIVER magazine. Sounds hopeful anyways.

What were the times of the "2018" GT500 and did they justify the ADM's that WILL be a reality?
