CASA GRANDE, AZ - A brand new race track is coming to the desert.

Danrick Builders announced on Thursday morning they are developing Attesa, a motorsports complex south of Casa Grande.

Attesa will have two separate 2.8 mile road courses , a karting track, driver experience center, multi-surface racing and event center.

In addition to the racing, there will be a private airport with a 6,000 foot runway. The area will also include a hotel, convention center and an entertainment district with dining and shopping.

“Our model is incomparable to any other development in the United States. We’ll combine speed, luxury experiences and motorsports opportunities for individuals from all walks of life,” said Dan Erickson, principal of Darrick Builders.

Attesa’s two race tracks have been designed by Apex Circuit Design. The tracks will meet international FIA and FIM certifications. All major sports car series will be eligible to race in Casa Grande.

The race track will be located a half mile south of Interstate 8 between Bianco and Montgomery Roads, seven miles from Interstate 10 and downtown Casa Grande.

The land where Attesa is planning to be built is currently used as farm land to feed cattle.

The company expects to break ground in 2017 and expects final county approval by late 2016. The race track is scheduled to open in 2020.
