Well I'm going back to school for a future I hope in Auto Tech. And tonight someone dropped off a 1999 SHO with a blown engine. I was wondering what problems are most frequent with this engine. The car has 93,000 miles and looks to be in some what good shape and care. Thanks as I like to see if I can get it back together and running again.

blown motor = common problem.

The motors let go for one reason and one reason only. The cam gears come off the cam shafts and the motor beats itself to death. Weld the cams and you have yourself a good car. As Chris said, check out www.v8sho.com for all the info you need.
