Good morning to all you guys. I've been busy the past few years trying to survive all the BS and slowly but surely getting Casper to where I want her. Recently I have installed a Gen3 ported intake from AFS with a 110mm MAF/Cold Air and had her retuned on 93 and E85. Results were 410/443 respectively.
I finally got her back on the open track this past December with some fellow Mustang friends at a Porsche club event. Such a well run event and had nothing bad to say....except they don't like giving us Mustang guys point-bys.
Some future plans:
  • Installation of chin spoiler and fabricate splitter
  • Swap out 4.10s for 3.90s or 3.73s
  • Maier Racing fender flares to run 305/315s

Casper! Good to see another old school SN95 member on here. There's not many of us left.
Good to hear you're making some good power. Have any YT vids of the car on track?

Man, since it was my first track event in 5 years and only second with the new motor/suspension setup, I didn't even bring my GoPro. I really wish I had because the car performed amazingly well and I pushed it 120%. I'll upload what I have from a friend and what the wife took from her phone in the paddocks.

`Welcome back, Mike (and Casper). I haven't forgotten you nice your Cobra is. Those two videos were fun to watch. That Focus ST does well! What happened at 10:38 when you slid off the track? Too much speed in the turn?

Braked too late bc my eyes were on the ST behind me and I let off the throttle going into the turn. Had I kept the throttle down and maintained the balance of the vehicle at the rear, I'm confident I could have kept it on track.....sloppy on track, but still on track.
I'm still learning the car and it does more than I would ever expect a vehicle to do. My instructor was all praises and claps when instructing me how to navigate and power through turns.

Thanks for the additional info. Sounds like you're having more fun with Casper and and more fun racing.

Haven't had much time to enjoy Casper as I've been working on the other side of Texas for the past 18 months. Getting the Cobra prepped for an open track event in Decatur, TX in March. Changing all the fluids and checking things out. Hoping to bring enough E85 to the track to be able to run it on that and not have to switch back to 93. It is a totally different animal on E85.

Will be posting pics soon....in the meantime, this was how she sat in Sept/Oct when I moved back and brought some "home improvement" materials back. Sad sight I know, but #life.

Got a tow hook from FullyTorquedRacing to put on the front end "just in case". ;)

.....and she needs a new battery :(

Nice to hear from you, Mike. Casper is at least protected under the car cover. Soon enough it will be back on the track in March for some spirited fun. Hope all is going well for you.
