Thinking about picking up an FN Five-seveN or an FNX 45 within a few weeks.

Anyone have either and have some thoughts/opinions they'd like to share? I know they are two totally different handguns, but I decided on those two as we're overwhelmed with Glocks in the household. Neither will be a carry. More-so a fun shooter and to take out whenever.

*FNX will be a 5.3" barrel, 15+1 capacity.

That is a really nice holster he built for you. Looks very comfortable and stable.
Thanks. It's not a "barbecue gun rig" so far as looks, but it carries a heavy gun real well. The belt maker makes some really sexy holsters out of ostrich leg, elephant skin, or ray skin, but they are some kinda pricey. I don't usually open carry around here anyway, but even with that black leather rig above, it conceals fine in winter with a fleece vest, shirt tail out, or jacket.

I have two FNX 45s, the standard FNX-45 and the FNX-45 Tactical FDE. They have been very accurate, and I picked up the Tactical after my standard FNX-45 because I have a .45 ACP suppressor. I have put maybe 2K rounds through both, and have not had any problems. I have bigger hands, and the FNX feels more comfortable to me than some other pistols I own. They are very lightweight (empty of course) in comparison. I mostly carry SIGs or Kimbers, so the contrast in weight is very obvious. I prefer an .45ACP round, so these were a welcome addition to diversify the collection.
