I love revolvers especially in .357 mag.
Got a better picture of my Glock 29 and I took a chance and ordered this light from Amazon. I am super happy with it. 1200 lumens with 70 hours of battery life for $100 shipped. Highly reccomend it if anyone is looking for a budget light. It is insanely bright, and looks to be built well.

The only reason I ask is I have an 800 lumen Streamlight TLR1 weaponlight that is almost too bright for indoors and it is not one of their brightest lights by any means. What's really important here is that it work for you.
Just as an anecdote, I typically only run a 250 lumen Streamlight ProTac handheld for night time pistol matches outdoors with the light set on the "low" setting for everything out to about 20 yards. Anything brighter, even just the full 250 lumens and the target is washed out, and I'm blinded to see anything else.
My AR556 has had some issues with a new pmag locking in place. Just an FYI. Also get a new handgaurd. There is no heat shield in that one and it gets hot as ****.
I almost forgot. You mentioned you are in FV now? I drove through there at 6:30 this morning headed to H20 Fowl Farms in Dunn to set up for the monthly match. They run a great pistol match on second Saturdays at 10AM in the winter months (starting next month) and 9AM in summer months.
Yeah, I thought about it being too bright but I tried last night and I didn't have much issue with reflections and washout. I did want something super bright though because I wanted something that I could point at the floor and still be able to light up the room. I don't want to have to point the gun at what I am looking at until I need to. We have a little guy at home and If I hear a bump in the night I don't want to look around barrel first.

This is an excellent point. I was talking to a guy who keeps a weapon light on his home defense gun (like many folks do) and his solution was to have a second handheld light next to his nightstand gun. That way he can look around without sweeping the whole house.
A must for home defense, and the strobe feature will blind an intruder in front of it. I added this to my "must get" list. Great price. Great quality judging from the reviews.

Yeah I had that setup before but the problem I found was that it was hard to keep the flashlight pointed where you were aiming. For some reason it was really difficult to line up sights with one hand and point the flashlight with the other, it was like they Didn't want to communicate with each other. Even though I would be aiming around a corner it would be difficult to maneuver the flashlight to follow suit with my weak hand.
If I ever have to use the gun I think I would have a hard time using only one hand to aim and keep firing (accurate) follow up shots while holding a flashlight in the other hand. The other reason I wanted a mounted light was in case of malfunction where I had to use two hands. I would have to drop a the flashlight to do so. Not optimal. So yeah, I think the bright mounted light gives me the best of all the options as long as I point it towards the floor.

Yeah, I feel really good about the purchase. Another great thing for me is that it is quick disconnect so if I want to CC my 29 I can do it without having to conceal the light. The ergonomics are fantastic too. You won't be disappointed with It!

Sure no problem, I'll use my camera and take non potato phone photos. Ruger blackhawk, S@W 686 6". I'm not into revolvers despite owning a handful. I doubt some of them have even been fired.
Go on YouTube and watch Aaron Cowans (Sage Dynamics) videos about weapon mounted and handheld lighting. He gives good info if you haven't / can't get training on the subject.
I watched a little bit of it. I like having a free hand though so I am going to rock a single mounted setup. I took a picture just now (please excuse all the junk, Halloween decoration is in full swing) and here is what it looks like
