It’s a 1935. Not a Silver certificate. Yes, I still have it

Too bad it's not a silver certificate. The 35 blue silver certificates have a much greener back on them. They gave birth to the expression "green backs" for money. They command close to $300 a piece at auction.

Are you serious?! I've got 2 of them around somewhere.

I thought those were 1934’s?

Yep. I make about half of my income on precious stones and currency. My wife makes some serious cash with pre-ww2 stuffed animals, too.

Could be wrong. I would have to look into that. I know the 34 Yellow's and Hawaiians are potentially worth a few hundred...but they don't have the "green back" like the 35's. I think, anyway. Have to check later.

My brother wants to trade my Henry Golden Boy 22 for his Ruger Mark III 22/45 target pistol.

I'm not sure what direction to go on this one. I really like both 22s. One is gorgeous, and the other is a lot of fun.

Would you trade a Henry Golden Boy for a Ruger 22/45 target?

There is zero chance of my Golden Boy going anywhere. It is literally the best overall firearm I have ever owned.

I shot mine a handful of times to make sure it fired. After that it got a thorough cleaning, several coats of museum wax, and then placed in a silicone gun sock in its case.

When I purchased the rifle a few years back I intended to use it as a display piece.

I am a 22 nut though. I love the little round. I really want to get my hands on an AR22.

Hey guys, I am in the process of getting a new HD setup in 556. Still deciding on a few options (tavor, mpx, higher end AR15). I know that I want to suppress whatever it ends up being. I have 7.62 guns as well, so mainly looking at a suppressor that would be capable for both. So far my research leads me to the Q trash panda or the deadair sandman-s. Anyone have experience with either of those?

Starting to get my ATS war belt together for training and competition use. The HSG triple magazine tacos are smooth as silk. The holster is from Dara, made to order for the gun/optic combination with a drop so it hangs down off the belt a bit. Eventually I’ll mount my IFAK, drop pouch and two AR magazine pouches

I ordered MP performance center version of their ar22. It is awesome. Love that gun. No issues whatsoever and shoots as well as any of the high end target 22s. <.5 inch groups at 100 yards as fast as you can pull the trigger.

I would post a pic of my gun but don't own one. Never held or fired one. I'm looking to purchase for home protection though. Thoughts on what to get? Shotgun? Revolver or automatic?

That's a loaded question, pun intended.
Buying your first gun is like buying a pair of shoes. What works for one, doesn't necessarily work for another.
Go to a range and fire a few, asks friends and people here, you'll get great advice.

And buy a bigger guy safe than you think you need.

Purely for home protection? Shotgun no question.

Want something for home protection that you can also carry and have fun with at the range? Glock 17/19 or Sig 226/229. These are like ford and chevy, guys that shoot glocks think they are best while guys that shoot sigs like them best. Of course they are both wrong since 1911s are best.

I would avoid revolvers. They have their place but are a poor choice for defense and are tougher to shoot well than autos IMO.

Why does one need a gun safe? I understand if you have kids but I live alone.
