so in between shifts my car hangs r's a little bit. not to bad but should be coming down a lot quicker. I cleaned the IAC valve but it still is doing it. any other suggestions ?

My now sold 01 GT had that problem and it was the IAC... Cleaning didn't work for me either and I had to have it replaced. It drove fine after that. Good luck.
If cleaning does not fix it, it will likely need to be replaced. We have many vehicles come through our shop and replacement usually takes care of it.

Iac mod is interesting, but the car runs like shit after a while. I always end up taking it off. It could just be my car.

Haha I'm kind of with you. The link I posted in the first reply is probably the cheapest and easiest, so it's best to start there in my opinion.
Something about a microwave with wifi and Tapatalk.
The fix shown in the link is an iterative process. The first time I did it I went too big and had to start over with small increments between testing. But it has been a while since I did this ...8 yrs I think ...so take it for what it's worth. :beer:
I'm doing the Iac mod tomorrow. I'll let you know if it fixes the problem. I have the same thing going on.
