Hard Wireing

I want to hard wire a radar detector to my 93 cobra, where is the best place to hard wire it at?

What radar detector. I had a mine done at a stereo shop where I'm friends with the owner. Mine was a Passport 8500x50 (9500's are the newer ones), the wiring was from passport ($30). It was run up the a-pillar then across to the front center of the head liner. The mute button was mounted on the dash just in front of the guages.
