I am in the process of installing long tubes on my 97 Cobra. I got them bolted up yesterday.

My question is about the air tubes on the front of each header. The right side fits, the left side isn't even close.

Should I just delete the air system? We have emissions every 2 years. Can I get a tune that will allow me to pass emissions?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Location
Kelowna, B.C. Canada.
You got the headers for a '98 Cobra and yours is a '97. If I remember correctly Ford changed the location of the air tube on that side for '98 that's why it doesen't fit.

Well that would certainly make sense.

I went and talked to a tuner named Chris at a place called the Dyno Edge today. They specialize in Mustangs.

He said I would be better off to delete the air injection and the imrc's so that is the next step.

He can tune it so it will pass emissions here every 2 years.

I ordered some Imrc delete plates today

Thanks!
