Those of you who have a double din headunit in your cars which dash kit did you purchase for this? I will be running a pioneer 7" headunit (forget the model #).

Usually you have to buy the correct one for the corresponding head unit iirc....try crutchfield.

I used that Metra kit as well. If the HU has a motorized display you may need to trim the top and bottom of the dash kit to allow the faceplate to close.

That dash kit is really only needed to cover the sides of the radio where the factory bezel doesnt. The top and bottom are close enough that the radio fits right in there perfect.

Yeah that is what I am trying to avoid trimming it to keep a factory clean edge. I know Metra makes some good stuff, might have to go with that one. Not looking to trim, but not seeing any other option.

I believe that is the same kit I used when I put in the Pioneer avhp4300 stereo in my car. I just had to do a little bit of sanding at the top for the motorized faceplate.

my double din doesnt have a motorized faceplate so i didnt have to trim...it looks great and fits 100% perfect! good luck with your choice!
