I'm usually a 1/4 mile kinda guy but my best buddy's a hard core trackee. He's one of the Car Guy's instructors and is really ate up with it. He's finally talked me into running a track event. We're off to Summit Point next month for some twisties and a road course. My question is.. what pads to use??? I really don't want the hassle of a "race only" pad, changing before and after. What I'm looking for is a "double duty" type of pad, something good for H/P street and some track duty. Carbon Kevlar dusts too bad so I really don't want them. I was looking at Performance Friction's Z pad. Any experiences or suggestions? If I really like it then I could get a little more serious about equipment later.. BTW, I'm using street tires for now.
