HELP- Hard Brake Line Snapped

also dont let fluid drain out...you wont be happy

a line clamp or vise grips on rubber hose..steel line a plug

ive read some treads on abs unit and bleeding issues...

Yeah, you don't want air in the abs module or you will have to bring it somewhere to have it flashed.

throw a vac cap on it with a ziptie for now. you need a flaring tool, do a double flare.

I already capped the line to stop the leak hopefully. I don't have one right now. It basically snapped about an inch from the fitting though. I heard about possibly flaring it, but I would have to flare it on the car and I have never done it before and sounds like a PITA.


its doable remember double flare

going to be easier to just call tousley ford if doing more than repair,

9 out of 10 you still need to cut and flare,,or you have to coil whats left if too long

not sure how many real mechanics on on this site,,

sounds like your doing fine,its not an everyday repair to throw out sizes,,

take off what you can and take with you to parts store,,

i played at muffler shop on bender,,they got a bend card to follow,,thats how to make your own from pipe,has measurements and angles ,,so easy and cool..

be nice for brake line bend card but side by side it should be easy to copy oem lines..
