    Help from experienced supercharger guys

I've recently decided to put a bigger SC on my 03 Cobra, but im kind of confused on which one to get. I'm pretty well set on a Kenne Bell. It sounds kind of dumb but i want one with a lot of whine to it, that's what they're known for. The 2.2L's i believe had the best sound but they don't make them anymore. I've considered the 2.6H but ive also heard on these forums that they can be almost quiet with no sound. Any suggestions on what you guys have done and experience with your cars i would appreciate

The reason why bigger twin screws are quiet is because they are more efficient. The 2.2 kb you will have to buy used. Its not offered anymore. I know the scream is cool. But I wont buy and spend all that money on a bigger blower just for the scream.

yeah thats true, i shouldnt buy one just for the scream but i have to be honest thats the main reason why i want one. And thats also another big reason why i bought a Terminator besides of the looks of the car.

Thanks for the reply, ill have to research a little bit more on the TVS's to see how they compare. Also they are a good bit cheaper which would come in handy since im living on E-3 pay lol.

I'd personally go with the TVS setup, but that's me. If your main concern is scream vs. HP/TRQ afforded with the bigger, and sometimes quieter blowers, you could get your factory Eaton ported. Those things are LOUD, plus you'll get more HP/TRQ as well, not like you would with a major blower upgrade, but still respectable. However, with more power comes the need for more fuel, possibly a different clutch, diff brace, see where this is going?

How it compares? I have had a Whipple 2.9, Whipple 2.3, Ported Eaton, Stock Eaton......the TVS is the best damn blower period for pump gas and a little bit of race gas/pump mix.

And, I have the dyno sheet to prove it. You really wont find a better BRAND NEW blower that performs this well for the money

A smaller blower pullied to spin fast will make more whine than a larger, slower turning one.

Port the Eaton which will be inexpensive. Personally I would rather hear the pissed-off Mustang exhaust note over a siren under the hood and over time perhaps your will feel the same. Then you can plunk down some scratch for a bigger TS :coolman:

Experience above to prove the TVS is where it's at.

Also not mentioned it's based on OEM parts; thereby, it has OE reliability. Take a look in the market, almost every Whipple and KB says, "just rebuilt."

I bought the car with a upgraded stage 3 spec clutch. So i think ill be good as far as the clutch goes. My clutch is super tight too btw, and releases really close to the floor board, i think most terminator owners have that same problem. I could be wrong but aren't the stock injectors pretty well good for an aftermarket SC? It may just be my ignorance but i always thought you could put a bigger SC on it, go get it tuned and you'd be good to go..idk. I guess thats why im asking you guys.

No you really need a Boost a Pump, 60lb injectors, and a larger MAF during a blower upgrade.
