Does anyone have any recommendations for hood struts for a aftermarket cobra r fiberglass hood? The ones I have that I used on my aluminum hood just don't seem to hold it up anymore.

These all require drilling into the hood and inner fender, correct?

Correct. The Redline hood strut kit for the 2005-2014 Mustang STOCK HOOD does not require drilling. The kit utilizes a fender bolt and an existing hole in the hood frame. They do have a kit for aftermarket hoods, but it requires drilling. "These hood struts are specifically designed to be used with aftermarket hoods. Since most aftermarket hoods do not have hood frame holes like the ones used by Redline's full bolt-in design kit, this version utilizes small brackets which attach to the hood."

MRT has a kit as well. But it, too, only works with the factory hood. MRT says to call them for options if you have an aftermarket hood. Here's their phone number. 734-455-5807
