how the f*** do you calculate a sample geometric mean?

i am seriously brain farting..anyone else who's pretty good with math able to help me out? usually i'd just use excel but i can't get that to show me the actual formula.

multiply the two numbers... and take the square root of their product. do u want an explanation on how to do it with logs? or did u just need a basic one?

sweet tits, thanks for that explanation, that's exactly what i needed. i don't think the test questions i'm anticipating will need me to use logs..what if i have a number series greater than 2 though?

multiply the values and raise the product to the power of (1/n) where n= number of values... this formula works for as many numbers as you want. ur making me think at work... shame on u
