I screwed up. Got in a rush when the end wasn't popping over the c-clip, whacked it with a hammer and I'm crying now.

Rebuilding CV's for my R32 (GT-R spec axles) and now the splines are marred up a bit. I tried cleaning it up some with a file, but the outer portion won't "slip" on. I'd love to just grab a remain - but they don't exist and I can't even buy a now discontinued OEM ($800) axle.

Talked to Arizona Driveshaft, they said they quit the CV rebuild game 10 years ago and if it's torn, needs rebuild, whatever - they throw on an aftermarket or oem.

All you can do is keep filing down.

Just go a little at a time until you can install it without the c clip.

Keep filing and invest in a dead blow to try and not do it to the next 1.

Patience and a good file. If you DO go with a Dremel, take your time and check the slip fit often.
