Was washing the car last week and i noticed some hairline stress fractures just above the faux gas cap on the rear deck lid. i took it to the dealer and they told me it was not a warranted piece but it would be placed in my file in case anything changes....i tried to capture it as best i could but its really hard to photograph...i am back overseas so i cant get a better image...i would urge you guys to check yours...

i am sure its just a change of the black plastic piece...their reason for not warranty is "too hard to photograph"

Contact the Ford service rep on the forums.. see if she can help you or give you a better explanation as to why it's not covered.

How the fu£$ is it not a warranted piece? Getting really tired of Ford not standing behind their product, especially on a high end car like a GT500. Total BS!

Ford Motor Company dealers will, without charge,
repair, replace, or adjust all parts on your vehicle that malfunction or fail
during normal use during the applicable coverage period due to a
manufacturing defect in factory-supplied materials or factory workmanship.

Why is this too hard for them to understand?

Pathetic if they don't take care of this!!!

Hyundai does more for their clients than what I have been seeing with Ford lately.

Fight this one all the way!!! This is B.S.!!!

It's not like they have to paint the friggin car! It's a replacement part.

I have the same thing one little hairline crack. Looks like a scratch it's so small. Right now I'm not concerned about it. If it gets obvious I'll take it in.
