Well I’m wrapping up the install on my on3 FF single kit for my 99Gt. I have some confusion involving the IAT sensor. My tuner recommended I use the SCT BA3000 so that’s what I bought. The tube it comes with was much larger then the on3 pipe so I had it welded into the pipe. Now I thought a slot style meter was ideal but my tuner is pretty solid so I’m going to listen to him. My question is, is there a way for me to combine my IAT sensor into this BA3000 like you can with slot style meters, OR do I need to add another hole in this pipe for the factory IAT sensor.
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

If you’re running a factory two wire iat sensor you’re going to need to install it into the pipe also. Why don’t you just go with the HPX e it’s a 6 wire slot and it deletes the need for the secondary sensor?

That’s what I thought was the logical choice. The HPX Maf. I’m not sure why my tuner suggested the SCT Maf aside from the fact that he’s comfortable tuning them. So using the SCT Maf does require me to make an extra hole for the IAT sensor then?

No not necessarily. Look at the wiring diagram on the ba 3000. It might have the sensor built in. You just need to cut the iat wires and splice them in the correct pins if that’s the case or remove the pins and install them into the ba 3000 connector

Well I called SCT today. They confirmed the BA3000 does have a temp sensor built in. Now I just have to find a factory size Maf harness that has six pins instead of four. They did not have any wiring diagrams for there MAF. They just told me that the wiring would be the same as the factory unit.

Just pull the wires out of the iat connector and put them in the connector for the maf. Worst case just re pin the wires to match the maf pins.
