For those searching VMP has the pump with a plug and play pig tail. I guess you can look up the Ford part number and get it through them as well. I went through VMP though.

I'm having similar results with the pump and intercooler upgrade. I still have the stock intercooler manifold and lines though. With the Afco heat exchanger it still recovers pretty fast. When I had the stock pump temps dropped 10-15 degrees across the board. They came back up a little with the GT500 pump, I figure that's because of the cavitation in the tank. Filling up the tank almost level with the inlet helped things, but I need to figure out a bypass set up.

I always thought that pump was a 13/14 gt500 pump with a pigtail?
Yeah me too but its almost half the cost so I asked them. It's their pump with a marginal better flow then the snail Bosch pump factory on the terminator. The best option without a major amp draw and other required upgrades is the 13 pump.

I don't think we are talking about the same pump.

Yes that is the 13 pump which is overpriced imo but still need to purchase the pigtail. Here is their lower flow pump with pigtail already.

How is that vmp unit performing? Did you notice a drop in IAT2 temps? In your opinion, is the intercooler upgrade worth the cost? There is not much actual data out there on the VMP intercooler.

It's not so much the intercooler itself but the upgrading the inlet/outlet to flow 1" lines with a high flowing pump. Also a bigger heat exchanger then the dinky aftermarket one's they make to fit in stock location for the cobra.

Does anyone know if the VMP intercooler manifold will fit a stock intercooler that's been machined to fit the larger tubes? I have emailed them to ask this question but haven't heard back.

With the stock pump I saw about a 10 degree drop across the board. With the GT500 pump it went back up at first, but there was a problem with the tank foaming because the pump moves a lot more fluid. With the tank filled up it's still about 5 degrees lower than I was with the stock set up. But it recovers a lot faster after a pull. And looking at my logs is seems to take a little longer before the IAT starts to warm up.

I'm hoping to come up with a bypass within the next month or so, so that it works like the GT500 set up.

I apologize this thread has been dead for so long. I changed career paths and the cobra got pushed to the side. The modded intercooler I purchased and installed ended up being completely clogged...I just ordered a VMP intercooler and will be installing it as soon as it arrives in the next few weeks. I will keep you guys updated with my results.
