Unless I hit the lottery or something, I bought my last " new " vehicle in 2017.
What they, " Ford ", is selling now, is targeting a different segment of the market, & I'm OK with that !!

Ford and all these manufacturers can build all the EV's they want but who is going to buy them? In reality it is a very limited market of people that want and can afford to operate an EV.
I can't wait to see the retention rate when Dodge replaces the Challenger/Charger with that gay EV car with fake noises. I'm guessing under 10%.

I remember getting an oil change at my local ford dealership talking to one of the salesmen when the new 2015 models came out. He was telling me Ford was phasing out the v8 5.0s then and would only be available for a couple more years, and that the ecoboost and v6s would be available in N/A and supercharged options. I laughed in his face and called him an idiot and walked off. Never saw that guy again so i assume he quit or got fired.

V8s aren't going anywhere anytime soon, there's way too many people who still desire them. Now, there quite possibly will be a price increase, and the government will start taxing v8 vehicles heavily to push their bullshit green agenda. That's about it.

But haven't the V8s become less and less an available option? At least with Ford? I mean when I bought my new Explorer in 2014 I wanted a V8 but it was no longer available with that engine. I remember when V8s were standard or an available option in a lot of vehicles but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Expect a lower, sleeker two-door body versus the Mach-E, which already comes standard as a RWD model (no Probe issues here).

Ford or any other American can't source the metals to ramp up to full production of electric vehicles. Not today or in 2028.

My Ford dealer has three 2022 V-8 Mustangs (which have less Hp than 2021). They have been sitting there for months. They want MSRP + ADM. Good luck.

Not only are V8s less available as an option they are hard to find.

For example we have been trying to buy 2 F150s with a 5.0 in them. All we can find is Eco Boost engines and most dealers are perplexed when we tell them what we want.

Somehow they skip over the issues we've had with our rangers we bought earlier this year.

Now we have to wait a full YEAR to get what we want because they are considered a special order. 3 years ago we would make a few phone calls on a Monday and by Friday have new vehicles.

True, and likely because idiots don't vote correctly with their money. They settle for what's convenient or what's offered.

Talking with my local Audi dealer, I told them there's no way I'll buy a new RS5 without a V8 and a manual. They asked why and I said it's my money and that's what I want, and if I'm paying $100K for a car I'm getting exactly what I want.

I left the dealership without a new RS5.

I had a '14 RS5. They had a new RS5 with the V6 and torque converter. They were doing their best sales job to get me to upgrade. I told them that I didn't even like the DCT and told them what I want to spend my money on next. Older RS4's came with the 4.2 V8 and a manual; no reason Audi couldn't make it happen.

That '14 RS5 would be near perfect with a manual.

Again look up all the exemptions that the emergency vehicles get with all this EV garbage as even the politicians know how much of a total cluster this stuff is. And would know it would lead to a total break down when the fire or paramedics can't get to a case due to no juice in a battery pack.
