    Time to do the clutch.

Working on the parts list. Pretty sure this is everything. Right around 600 WHP, thinking Spec 3+. Not sure what clutch is in there, but believe it to also be a Spec.
    1. Clutch (likely Spec 3+, 26 spline)
    2. 8 bolt flywheel (thinking billet steel, primarily a street car. I don't like chatter)
    3. Anti-venom Dorman 65277
    4. 26 spline input shaft
    5. Shim kit for input shaft
    6. Ford throwout bearing F7ZZ-7548-AA
    7. Ford fork XR3Z-7515-AA
    8. Ford pilot bearing M7600B or M7600C
    9. Pivot ball/stud
    10. Ford Clutch cable 2R3Z-7535-AA
    11. Lethal Forged throwout bearing retainer sleeve
    12. ARP flywheel hardware
I'm looking at the different options for the 26 spline input shaft. There's a fairly substantial price difference between the options. Lethal has one for $300 that is 8620 steel, there is one that is apparently Tremec brand TUFM 6132 for $375 that is stronger 9310 steel. D&D has theirs for $200. There seems to be good reviews for the D&D, but there is no info on what steel it's made from. I just want the best one, regardless of price.

Also looking at the two Ford options for pilot bearings. M7600B or M7600C. M7600C is marketed as 'high load'. Again, I want the best one. Insignificant price difference.

I'm not seeing a Ford brand pivot ball/stud. Which one should I go with, if going for the Spec clutch?

    Thank you for your help

If you're answering the question why not post it so others can learn as well?

    - unless its a twin disc or has some other change in geometry, you can probably use the stock t-56 pivotball stud. the spec 3 is a conventional single disc clutch so there is probably no need to mess with the pivotball height. at least i have never heard of anyone having this issue and i know that i had never needed to change the height until i went twin disc

    - use the tremec part tufm6132. that is the correct factory piece, and personally i would want the strongest and best quality steel, esp since cost is not an issue. i was told by my local tremec dealer that d&d essentially is tremec, so if the d&d part is the same tufm part#, then that sounds like it would be a pretty good deal.

    - the regular pilot bearing is probably more than adequate. i do not know too much about these high load pilot bearings that have come out now, but i also don't think i have ever heard about one pilot bearing failure happening on a mod motor. or, if so, it is extremely rare. just use the 7600-b

    best of luck with it!

Wonder how much of this stuff may have already been installed.?

I’m assuming your not original owner.

Recommendation for the TUFM6132, and a place to buy it, which is where I was going to go anyway. Not sure why it had to be a PM, but I do appreciate the help 03 Indy Cobra!

I ended up finding a 'NOS' Ford pivot stud on ebay. LMR seems to have an identical or almost identical part branded SVE.

The 'Aftermarket' wording on D&D website led me to believe that it is not the same part. I decided to go with the Tremec brand TUFM6132 based on you and 03 Indy Cobra recommendation.

I went with the 7600-C, but that's good to hear that it likely does not matter.

It is quite possible that some of these things were done by one of the former owners. I did get some pretty good records of the car's history, but no info on upgrades to transmission or clutch or related parts. Previous owner believed the clutch was a Spec, and the shifter a Steeda. Shifter is indeed a Steeda. I do not really have a large timeframe to work with, so I would rather have it and not need it than the other way around. I do appreciate that you are trying to save me money, though!

I was thinking you said 600hp.

Stock isn’t cutting it for long.

I’m assuming it has a 26 spline already and maybe more

I had posted some pics of mine when I changed. I like to see your old parts

    Mine had a few miles

I didn't want to break any forum rules. I was just letting the op know who has the real Tremec 26 spline input shafts (TUFM 6132)
in stock and also letting them know they also have the best price on them. I am pretty sure they are not a vendor on this site so that is why I answered him through pm. If you would like this info I can pm it to you. Again sorry for not posting this.

+1 on the pilot bearing. Anyone have info on the high load ones? I'm putting together my setup soon and saw these, news to me. The standard FRPP ones have been great for years. Think I'm going to stick with a proven piece for half the price.
