Just buy the LMR replacement carpet, with the mass deadening built in. It's well worth the money.
As far as Cobra seats for 96-98 goes, any 94-98 Mustang Leather seats will do the trick.

Well yeah, you'll always have to cut new carpet. That shouldn't scare you away though. It just makes sure you have enough to cover everywhere.
