I agree with you the hype for the gt500 has guys with the 350s trading them in. I been looking at both 13/14 500 and 17/18 350. I would at some point want to throw a whipple on a 350 if I do go that route. I am not trying to rush this process. I dont have to buy anything yet. And my car is free and clear. These dealers are crazy on some of these prices for a 350. I saw a dealer with 24000 and wanted 50k lol.

yeah that price is nuts lol. Really hoping that once the GT500 is out the price of the GT350 settles down some. Not necessary b/c it is in direct competition but b/c the price of them seems to be bouncing around all over the place at the moment. I just want to find one around the high 30 to low 40K range when I'm ready to buy. I think that is a reasonable price point to be looking for in 18 months.

I’ve got a 2020 350 coming in before the end of the year for $1000 over dealer invoice.

Congrats! Not a bad over MSRP, not like when these first came out at least.

Thanks, but this is over dealer invoice, not over MSRP.

    Hi Dave

Do you mind sending me a message which dealer I can go for a similar deal? I want to order a 2020 as well.

    Thank you.

Actually I did initially talk with nick, but I procrastinated too long, and would have had to fly out to KC to get the car from him at the price he offered me.

I then spoke with my local dealer that I’ve done business with since 1993, and whom I just picked up a Lincoln MKC from for my girl, and he agreed to honor the same price Nick offered me.

So on the end it all worked out.

Whell I just pulled the trigger on a grabber blue 350 with no racing stripes. Anything I should worry on a 2017 with 13000 mile . Guess I will wait till the 500 comes down in a few years

GT350 just won another competition. M2 competition/New Supra/Cayman. Not bad for a 4 yr old vehicle taking out the best new cars in this price range.

Also had 125 more HP than it’s closest competitor, and more than 200 than some. Hardly seemed fair.

Anyway, I’d be concerned about all the engine problems the car seems to have, with no clear root cause.

True. But they are all in the same price range. Though other interiors are nicer.

When doing my search and due diligence, I was surprised how many cars for sale on Car Gurus were low miles. Most were under 10k on miles.

Wife gave me a bad case of the stink eye when I told her what new GT500's will go for. Guess it doesn't matter anymore what I can get for my GT350.

IMO two things going on here, those that bought the car because it was the latest model at the time, now they want the 500.

Secondly, this is a high revving car, power and torque is much higher up than a regular mustang V8. The car is misunderstood by those looking for low end grunt. They, as in those above that want the latest model, don’t understand this car is meant to be wound out on a road course, where it really shines in the upper RPMs.

I have one left that can be spec'd to order...and one that will be here next month that is now unspoken for.

I was thinking along those lines and/or for many a GT350 is not DD or primary car. So, with that, the miles are obviously down. I mirror that. I'm currently operating 3 cars. C5 Corvette, Charger HellCat and now the Shelby.

How is that unfair? They're all in the same "class" or price range. The only things unfair about the comparison were that 1) The 350 was not on equivalent rubber, and the cup2's make a big difference and 2) 2 of the cars suffered because of the shitty gasoline used out in Commie country.

If 2 cars that cost $60k are evaluated, it's not "unfair" if one out performs the other because it has better features, that's the entire point of the comparison, to give the consumer a concept of what's a better value for their money spent.
