Is this a lifter tick?

OK guys...I can't figure this out.
I broke a valve spring on my '95 Cobra and had to drive it home (~5 miles) with it like that.
I replaced all of the valve springs with the trickflow upgraded valve springs and it runs fine now.
Only problem is now I have a ticking noise..from the bottom of the car it sounds like an exhaust leak but from the engine bay it sounds like a ticking. I tried locating it with a stethoscope but had no luck.
I just find it odd that a lifter would start ticking the same time I break a valve spring..
And the tick goes faster as the RPMs increase.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks for your help
Matt

hey if u took the harmonic balancer off, I had a bad ticking noise exactly what ur describing and it was cause i had put to much sealant on my harmonic balancer key hole which did not allow for it to be tightened down all the way and then the two sprokets on the inside of the timing cover were lose and they would make a ticking noise. I have a vid and will post it up if u want me to.

Hmm... I replaced my wobbly balancer a few weeks after the ticking..but definitely post the video if you don't mind!
Thanks!
