I also pulled the blower today as well. I will be installing the J2 Fab Intercooler pieces that I posted above.

I've had my TVS installed since they first came out in 2012ish. I blew the motor shortly after installing it so it sat for almost 2 years. I have maybe 3k or so miles if that since the blower has been off. The point is, I have no idea how or why my lower intake has oil in it. I deleted the PCV and ran valve cover filters since it was last installed....... Any ideas?

I don't think i can do a better writeup about it than Joe did here: http://www.terminator-cobra.com/chassis & steering.htm

It's a nice piece, pull the trigger if you're thinking about it. I can not think of one negative effect you would see.

I do plan on installing it with MM control arms so i will walk through that process.

Troy,

Do you have to run a oil filter relocation kit with that K-member? Or do you have to use a stubby oil filter? Curious to see how you do your crossover delete.

You do not have to run a relocation kit which is what lead me to the steeda over the MM piece.

Also for the J2 Fab kit I will not be running a crossover delete. I am just going to notch the pulley bracket in front of the new I/C adapter.

No updates on parts yet but I just found out i'll be getting the new 3rd Generation Maximum Motorsport coilovers..... pretty excited about that! Check there website for details: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/M...-Generation-Black-Struts-1979-2004-P1598.aspx

I ended up not being able to Mill my blower at work so i had to take it to my local hot rod guy to do. Waiting to get that back. Really its just been cold so i haven't touched anything else yet. Hoping to have some updates this week.

More details/pics on my budget somewhat hidden vacuum/boost manifold later. Its somewhat self explanatory though, it connects to the blower boost reference port.

So around the time I went return I was having what I thought was a loss of boost issue. I was running a oem tensioner so i said what the hell. Lets go with something better.

What we have here is a newer company's tensioner "American Racing Solution"

Its a solid looking piece and they said that they make their own spring which is better than the other options out there. I'm not doing their research on the matter justice as I just dont remember the details. Contact them if interested and ask away, they will be more than happy to explain everything. The owner is extremely helpful eager to help customers. I had an alignment/fitting issue with my piece and we were constantly on the phone together figuring it out. Long story short the pulley needed to be spaced out a slight amount.

I am not currently spinning the blower hard enough in my opinion to test the new tensioner but I am not experiencing any belt slip so far.

Heres my dyno sheet from Oct 2017, tuned by non other than 04 Sleeper

Current 93 octane tune:
Target AFR: 11.4
Boost: 16psi
Timing: 18*

I am curious, do you think the Steeda K member would make installing LT's easier? Awesome thread btw!

100% will make the install easier. The engine is more exposed with a aftermarket K-member.

Thanks, I went back today and started adding a little more detail on certain modifications. I still glossed past and didn't post some mods up yet. I'll get it all updated eventually.

Small stuff but it adds up. I finally ordered replacement trunk spring stops. After awhile the plastic ends cracks and breaks off.

Some of my front suspension parts started to show up. The control arms appear to fit in the Steeda K member. I believe i will have to slightly spread the control arm mounting ears slightly but that shouldn't be an issue at all. I will cover that when I go to install them.

I finally got around to milling my blower! Heres a pic of how I set it up on the mill for reference.

And how it turned out. If do this you can see that you mill down the sensor mounting pad flush to the black portion on the left bolt hole. Do not forget to take extra material away to have the connector clear. It should be self explanatory in the pics.

And finally what you want to achieve. The sensor is now unshrouded by the blowers base, it is now exposed allowing air to pass over it which should lead to more accurate #'s.

All thanks goes to Joe aka Soap for figuring this out!

I may have taken off alittle too much material in order to clear the J2 Fab piece.
