I recently bought a 13 GT with a KB 2.8LC on it and it seems to me that the IAT is high. It runs around 50 degrees above ambient at all times.

My last 2 coyotes were CPR turbo cars and IATs were at ambient.

Can any KB owners chime in with their experience?

Thank You

PD blowers run hot. Different platform, but my Cobra stays about 30 degrees over ambient. That's with an upgraded heat exchanger, intercooler, and pump.

What cooling set up are you running?

You should see IAT2 come down significantly when you go WOT.

Decrease will reduce more and more you push it of course.

The stock KB setup. Has a heat exchanger out front and intercooler under blower.

I had a VMP 2.3 GT in 15 but I can't remember it running that high.

I haven't seen the KB set up for Coyotes. Maybe the pump is starting to give out. Hopefully it's not just the standard Bosch pump everyone uses.

It might be worth looking into a Department of Boost set up. The guys I know running them have no cooling issues.
