I was heading to the shop the other morning when a white 458 came up on me. We played a little but nothing "run worthy".
My shops right off the highway and I noticed him going towards the on-ramp so I said **** it and followed him.
After a exit or so it cleared up and we lined up around 50, I took the hit and he ended up about 1/4 a car ahead by 130. We both got off at the next exit and he threw up the peace as he passed by. Very sexy car and cool dude.

On another note, you only lost by 1/4 car to something that traps 126-130 if I'm reading that correctly?

I took the hit and he pulled back pretty quick. We didn't take it to 200 or anything. A 560hp/400tq car isn't going to put 50 cars on a 450hp/500tq car in ~80mph. A 1/4 car as in there was 1/4 car of empty space between us.

So more like 2.25 car lengths, given you took the hit. Still?

I just report what I see brotha. When you're losing a race you have a really good vantage of what's going on in front of you lol.
I will try to hunt down another one to race for you. They're everywhere here. Problem is usually traffic conditions.

Just looked up the specs on a S Type R, they come with 400tq, not 500.

I agree with kaz, BS kill or the 458 driver didnt even try. Probably raced you in 5th or 6th.

562hp/398tq on a 3300lb car vs 400hp/408tq on a 3900lb car and he was ahead of you by only 1/4 of a car? ????

What mods? Who tunes these cars? Since they are part Ford is Ford programming? Just curious, I've always liked the style of these. The XF supercharged cars also have peaked my interest.

Pully intake exhaust. You don't need to tune them, they auto learn. Most parts come from "jag" since ford didn't own them for that long but you can cross reference some parts to lincoln, specifically the LS platform.

Since they only made about 7000 total in the US from 03-08 (300 in 07 which is what mine is) there isn't a large aftermarket following. But one guy did stick on a small KB and got 680rwhp with pretty much zero supporting mods. It's just not a very well known car but the potential is there.
