I know is old but does anyone have any thoughts on who killed her? I've been obsessed with this case for decades and personally believe the father is responsible in either her death or the cover up of her death. Anyone have a theory?

I felt early on that the parents knew who did it but won't come clean, meaning it could of been the brother by accident, for example.
The Gary Olivia story was interesting but I never really followed through on that.

The ransom note was weird iirc

Recent “documentary” aka Network Special seemed to hunt it was the brother as an accident and covered up by the parents.

Imagine a scenario where you lose 1 child, then face losing the 2nd to criminal circumstances.

Problem is, if it was an accident, he was still a Child. Not a whole lot would have happened to him.

Other theory is it was the mother.

I thought they found DNA on her underwear that did not belong to any of the family members?

That one cost CBS a lot of money. I think Burke sued CBS for $750 million, but it was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

The land of commies and socialists!
I subscribe to the idea her brother accidentally killed her and the parents covered it up.

The reality is we will probably never know as the circumstances are wierd and misleading.

Some people love to roll around in death and tragedy the way some dogs love to roll around in crap. The whiter, younger and more attractive the victim, the more pleasurable.

I never followed this case, but I do remember watching a TV show or movie made for TV that ran this scenario. The baby was killed by the brother while the baby sitter was not watching or asleep. Brother did it on accident (smothered the baby playing with it). Parents came home seen what happened and then covered it up by making it look like someone came in and did it.

Sounds like they used this story as the basis for that show/movie...……..

There's a great documentary on this and new evidence. I cant remember his name, but there is a guy, who's boot print matched a print found, who was also murdered. I always thought the mom or the brother did it, until I saw this new documentary.

The Brother looks like a total Creeper

Indeed he does but does he not have something wrong upstairs? Maybe the documentary (there have been so many) was incorrect saying so but I could see rough housing or playing ending up in a bad way. In this case, blame needs to be shouldered by the PD as it seemed to be a S show right from the 911 call. People like to blame the parents but what motive did they have for such a thing? Mom was living through the kid in terms of pageants and dad was financially well off.

Any reliability of went out the window when police failed to block off crime scene- There were tons of cops and civilians wandering through that house making DNA useless

Why would any of their DNA end up on Jonbenet's underwear?

So a buddy of mine went to the FBI National Academy a few months ago. One of the presenters for a day was the agent who investigated that particular case. My buddy said the presenter said without a doubt the mother did it.

edit: not to trash a LE Agency, but he also said that the local police ****ed the case up.
