I will be attempting to remove the SC of my Cobra so that I can send back to KB for a rebuild. This is my first time removing a roots style blower, any advice on simplifying this process or precautions I should be aware of?
It's heavy. Like 150lbs heavy and you will need a cherry picker or some helping hands to make sure it down bang its way out.I will be attempting to remove the SC of my Cobra so that I can send back to KB for a rebuild. Yes, KB has to be 1pc since the elbow doesn't come off the let you get the fuel rails out and separate the upper from the lower.Yeah (heavy) that I know! I plan on having some help, the lower manifold is what had me a bit worried from my understanding it all comes out as 1 piece. Seems like there is a lot of clearance though?
My bad bud twin screw
Really appreciate the above advice though! I didn't think it weighed that much either but truly couldn't remember? If I can pull that thing out in 3 hours and not ruin anything I would be extremely happy. My next concern after that would be shipping it back to KB.
