So i go to take Scott to see the movie tonight since he is graduating high school and all (he is my gals 17 year old from a previous marriage), we go to the Red Rock casino (our normal movie place), to see the flick when this happens..

We are there chillin' about thirty minutes into the movie when we start to hear sounds of coins being thrown into the seating area from behind us (we managed to score seats right in the middle of the theater), i even felt what was a piece of popcorn hit the back of my neck. I get a little heated and end up standing up and yelling to the upper half of the theater about cutting the shit out or, raise a hand so i can handle it. I notice another guy get up as well on my left to look around, (but think nothing of it). The crowd starts yelling at me to sit down and chill out.

After i get done screaming obscenities to whoever was guilty of throwing the coins and popcorn, 15 minutes later a fat kid asks me to speak with the theater manager. I agree to go and take Scott with me, we end up being followed by the guy that was sitting on my left about 6 seats down (the one that stood up when i did). I start hearing "That's not fair!" as i follow the fat kid out of the theater, (a random movie-goer supporting my efforts apparently)

Turns out that the guy that was sitting on my left was a cop and was also pissed off about the coins being thrown in the theater, he reveals this to us in the hallway (the theater manager and i), he goes back to join his wife after letting the theater manager know his thoughts about it all but i wasn't too cool yet, so i simply asked to get tickets to see the movie at another time. (Which i was promptly given).

Cliff notes:

My first time getting kicked out of a movie theater (being good - taking my medication and everything), and i was trying to be the good guy. WTF??

That sucks, some people have no respect or courtesy these days.

Why pay $12 to be a jackass when you can do it for free elsewhere? I normally try to let it slide but if there's a girl with me I don't put up with seat kicking/throwing things, etc. Some people are just born stupid.

On a side note, the movie was not as good as I thought it would be  , if that's any consolation :pepper:

Some people are rude and have no respect for others. That's why I don't go to movie theaters and wait for it to come out on PPV or cable.

Sad but true.

BUT, I've managed to find a theater that's small and I now know the owners and the managers. All is good now.:-D

It's easier for them to kick out the people who are tired of putting up with the BS, then to kick out the troublemakers.

That is one of the reasons I pay extra for the Premiere Theatre, where you must be 21 years or older to get in.

thats wierd, I just saw that movie a couple days ago... the part with the baby coming out was a little..uhh, crazy. But I was sitting in front of this loud couple that had to keep on repeating everything the movie said like "omg he just said..." "that motha ****a's crazy" and being loud. I normally would say something but my gf doesn't like it when I speak my mind because she thinks im trying to start a fight and she doesn't like confrontation and shit but anyways, it was a hilarious movie but for some reason it is attracting all the retards.

Plus one, i've had the same response from other forums that i've posted this story in. The theater manager did give me two tickets to see it again at another time which was cool but, to avoid the retards i think i'll have to go on a Sunday morning before 11am, (retards aren't up that early on Sundays).

that's why i mostly try to go to the movies in the early afternnoons nowadays, when its not "cool" for all the douchebags to go.

That's why I loved the opening to the auqa teen hunger force movie, Instead of the nice little singing and dancing soda cup, candy bar, and pop corn carton ASKING you to be quite, you get animated monsters singing "Shut the F*** up, we already have your money", "shut the F*** up and watch the movie" to a nice heavy metal tune.
I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.
