years ago someone posted about a medium sized snake. I bought one off ebay and had it on my old sonic blue car. I eventually went back to the horse because I think it fills the opening the best. The medium snake looked the best of the snakes. Try doing a deep dive on here and see what you can come up with. This was probably close to 10 years ago now.

** NOTE - the grille opening on '99 & '01 Cobras is SMALLER than '03-'04 grilles **

Pics from my '01 with both large & small Cobra emblems.

IF you attempt to install a large Cobra emblem on an '99 or '01, it will NOT fit correctly. The bottom of the Cobras coil will rub on the bumper. Like this:

^I've seen pics on '99 & '01s where guys go ahead, mount it, then bend the bottom forward so it doesn't rub.
It looks like shit.

To correct this, I removed the larger Cobra from the mount, machined away the material on the bottom of the mount. Then repainted, and reinstalled the Cobra emblem higher on the mount using automotive grade 3M foam tape so it was centered vertically in the grille opening.

Pics with large emblem after I modified the mounting bracket.

Thanks for the suggestion...looking at the pics seems like one in between would be spot on

I'm pretty sure i posted about it in the what did you do to your Terminator today thread. I bought my SB car in fall of 2012 and sold it around the same time in 2013 so sift through those posts and see if you can find anything about it.

I used a snake from the 2008 Shelby. I used rtv and glued it to a bracket I made.

I agree Brad. I remember a thread many years ago that discussed the factory snake, the big one, and one in between. I searched for it, to no avail.
