    Thanks...with DI another easy 15-20hp. The 997S is getting DI in 10, sending the 3.8L from 355 to 380hp. Some rumor has it at 400hp.

    DI= 15% gains in HP on avg.

    So the later '10 Stang will have 440hp!!

    CAR and Driver have a 11' mustang with thay say an 6.2L V8 on teh cover. and I thout to myself O if thay only knew

    fourcam, where are we on the 10 getting or not getting the 5.0?

    maybe this thread did not get updated, still body change for 10 and hp bump for 11?

    Yea I saw this as well...I think they are using way old info...The 6.2L from my understanding is for the F150 and such. I was disappointed if they just use the carryover 4.6L..I believe Fourcam more than I believe Car and Driver.

    Let us nope the picture is as wrong as the other information on it, as that picture was HIDEOUS.

    In the lexus is-f vs 2010 mustang gt thread, fourcam and DBK stated that the 5.0 won't go into the mustang until '11 now. So while car and driver was off on most of their information, they did get it right that the '10 mustang will continue to have the 4.6 in it (hope this answers the last few questions that were stated.)

    ^true. but the fact that thay still belive that a 6.2 will end up in a mustang the way gas is...is just stupid.

    ok boss engine is a ways off but dse nay one have any mare info on when the F-150 will get it or if it will get the boss engine, also rumor is that it will show up in the new HD F-150.

    That's still correct as far as I know regarding the 6.2. The 5.0/4v from the '11 Mustang GT also has a truck variant with ~360hp and more tq.

    so let me get this strait. boss=400hp 5.0 4V and there are 2 turck engines. One a 6.2 mod 2V and the other a 5.0 based with unknown heads and 360 hp?

    no, 6.2 boss sohc(not of current modular relation)

    5.0 dohc(ford gt or fr500 heads)in the mustang 400hp,360 tq

    same 5.0 as above but in truck duty,making 360hp,and400tq

    the 5.0 is a bored and stroked modular.

    I expect 6 speed double overdrive autos in everything along with taller rear gears. GM is starting this with the Silverado for 09. I suspect Ford will as well.

    Knowing Ford this means we'll probably never see the motor and they'll have wasted millions and millions developing it for nothing, and they'll stick with the heavy fuel thirsty mods.

    Am I right? If so that's really really dumb, watch fuel prices drop next year..

    Don't count on it. IMO, $4.00/gal is here to stay.

    I hope you're right, but MY '11 is a long way out.

    I could see them changing the tuning on the 5.0 to reg gas and losing ~20hp.
